Good morning and happy Wednesday!
We escaped Mobile over the weekend and headed east to Rosemary Beach, FL. The weather was literally perfect- I didn’t see a cloud in the sky one time over the weekend and it was just warm enough to get some sun.
We stopped at “The Hub” on 30a which is a bar/ food truck kind of spot. They show football games on the big screen in the fall and this day the Masters were on so Darin was in heaven. We sipped on some cocktails while soaking up some sun and relaxing before heading to our condo.
So our condo was technically in Seacrest Beach which is between Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. They are all literally a mile between each Beach so you are kind of enjoying three different experiences at once. You can stay at any 3 of these spots and I promise you will fall in love.
We rented a cute little 1 bedroom condo on Airbnb and we loved it. The decor was beautiful and the access to everything was the best.
Friday night we had dinner at Cafe on 30A and while the food was delicious our server was a jerk and so unfriendly so we ended up getting our food to go and calling it an early night with wine and relaxing.
Saturday morning after brunch at the Perfect Pig <<(the best), we rented bikes for the day!
It’s about a 3 mile ride down to Deer Lake State Park and you don’t want to miss this. I believe it was $4/pp for entry and we rode our bikes down to the boardwalk. The boardwalk is a hike through the dunes to get to the beach but it’s so beautiful you don’t even care. Plus it’s super secluded and only a few people are down there.
You guys, I’m so spoiled by gulf coast beaches. You east coasters got nothing on us 😉
We stopped on our trek back at Fonville Press for a lunch snack and rosé. It’s so cute inside and would be a perfect setting for a good French press and book.
We continued to ride bikes all day exploring the beautiful homes and roads all over.
Dinner that night was at George’s at Aly’s Beach which was so delicious. I didn’t snap pics but I definitely encourage you to stop by this place for dinner! The service was super friendly and the food was fresh and flavorful.
Worth mentioning:::If you visit definitely stop by the little boutiques at Seacrest beach, I bought a cute leather anchor bracelet (pictured above) and olive color suede sandals <
We ended our trip Sunday morning at Fonville Press with kale egg bowls & juice on the lawn for a picnic. You get to keep your bikes for 24 hours so one last bike road and then we were on our way home. Thank you 30A for being good to us again.
Stop back by this weekend for some healthy food prep ideas for your week!
