I’m loving this Sunday afternoon. We went over to some friends house last night and had dinner along with a bonfire and smores.

It was wonderful and a perfect fall day for me. I’m looking forward to the start of a new week and wanted to share how I am planning for it with Fitness & Flavor.

Fitness

As I shared a little while back, I am doing Tina Reale’s Best Body Bootcamp. It’s an 8 week program and I just finished week 1. It was great and she has awesome full body toning workouts and it incoporated cardio and abs. I do have to say that my cardio had been taking a back seat and I was doing more weights so having an assigned cardio 5x a week has been pushing me to not just do my (1) day of long distance running that I was focusing on. << That was a long sentence, not going back and editing it. 🙂

One thing I love is that being a part of Best Body Bootcamp gives you access to a Facebook group where everyone shares their goals for the week along with how their fitness is going so it’s great for motivation and knowing others are doing the workouts with you. You should definitely try it out next session!

One of my goals for the Bootcamp is to not eat junk foods. This time of year is when food habits start to creep back in as you attend holiday party’s and Halloween candy is sitting in bowls for the next few weeks. By setting this goal I know I will probably mess up 1-2 times a week but I am trying to stay accountable. For instance, I knew I was going to eat sweets last night at the dinner party so I already planned for that and am going to eat clean the rest of the week. For me it’s all in moderation and letting myself enjoy a treat here and there. Just don’t let the here and there become everyday! 🙂

To give you some tips on preparing food for the week, here is how I prepped.

Flavor

Roasted Spaghetti Squash for Healthy Spaghetti this week.

Made Honey Coconut Peanut Butter

Chopped veggies up for throwing in salads and for roasting for dinner sides.

Made a big batch of my Two Bean Quinoa Salad to eat for lunch throughout the week on it’s own or on top of a bed of lettuce/baby spinach.

Made Fitnessista’s Amazeballs but switched up the recipe and used the Coconut Honey Peanut Butter + Hershey’s Unsweetened Cocoa= Reese’s Amazeballs. These are a great protein snack before a workout or as an energy pick-me-up during the week.
